Trevor is a very experienced and highly credible educational professional. He works as an Education Adviser for the DfE, monitoring open academies and brokering new academies. He is also, currently, the part-time Interim Principal for Grindon Hall Christian School, a Free School soon to become a sponsored academy.
Trevor has previous experience as a teacher in primary and secondary phases and Headship in three different schools. While the Headteacher at a community primary school, his leadership was described by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’.
Following his headships, Trevor was appointed as HMI (Her Majesty’s Inspector) and worked with Ofsted for eight years before becoming Director of the North Leadership Centre at Newcastle University. This involved work delivering a range of leadership training programmes across the north east region and the UK. Following this he became a Principal Consultant for Mouchel (now Kier) with whom he worked supporting school improvement and providing educational expertise for Academy conversions.
More recently, Trevor has held the position of part-time Director for Strategy and Standards for the Ashington Learning Partnership Trust in Northumberland.
