Steve is the founder and Director of Public Value Ltd – a consultancy business that works with public and private sector organisations to address regeneration, employment and skills issues. He has a particular and long-term commitment to enabling more effective partnership working between education and training providers and employers.
Prior to establishing his own consultancy Steve had worked in the public sector for over 35 years and operated at Head of Service, Deputy Director and Strategic Director level in Local Authorities for over 15 years.
His Director / Deputy Director / Senior Officer responsibilities included Education; Business Development; Employment, Learning and Skills; Strategic Development; Commissioning and Youth and Connexions Services.
His earlier career included Head of Faculty and Deputy Principal roles in General FE and Sixth Form Colleges respectively. During this time Steve also worked as a PT Ofsted Inspector.
Steve has also worked nationally and regionally in developing strategy, policy and delivery arrangements to inform and support strategic investment and commissioning across education, training and skills.
